Hideously impractical (How do you carry one through a night's boozing without losing it?) and generally too small to fit all the usual junk I carry around in my bag, clutch bags are all over the place at the moment. I'm not a big fan, but this one caught my eye. I think it's the lovely yellowy yellowness of it, Jasper Conran, you devil.

The clasp is also gorgeous. I guess clutch bags are fine if you only take your keys, your cell phone, one credit card, 20 euros for the taxi and a little lippy. WAY TOO MINIMAL FOR ME!!
Exactly! What about my flats for the walk home? What about my cigarettes, my lighter? My make-up!?
It's so pretty though... maybe I should buy it and put it inside my real bag!

That's a lovely bag but I'd lose it for sure. I have only one clutch that I used once years ago.
I have at least three clutches that I never use. I'm afraid of them 'cos I'm the kind of person who puts a cup down and finds it again six months later.
Goodness knows what would happen if I headed out for a night on the tiles with such a tiny, strapless bag...
