We're so in love.

You know when you have a picture of something you want to wear in your head, then you go looking for it and nobody seems to have made it? Short of hiring a dressmaker, I thought I'd come to the end of the line in my search for a short, red tartan short-dress, flannel material, pockets at the front (yes, I am that particular). Then I found it, €36, in River Island.

Joy! Then we partied together all night, by way of celebration.

I know the feeling entirely.

It's akin to when you spy someone else wearing a beautiful item and finally work up the nerve to cross the bar or stop someone in the street and ask the girl where she got it and she relies " in a flee market in San Fran" or at a "from a blind mute monk in Kuala Lumpur.

yay for you though.

Oh meant to ask - is that your hoto? How did you put up the poloroid image? I have been looking for a conversion programme but the only one I have found is for Macs only.

The test of whether you're wearing something REALLY wonderful is whether people come up to you in the street and ask you where you got it.

Lottie - I did the photo thing on Poladroid (www.poladroid.net), a funky little app that's currently just for Macs but on the way for windows. And yes, that is me, getting down.

PS- This has only ever happened to me with a very good copy of an LV bag I got in Turkey years ago, I'd often catch people trying to touch it.

Love that dress, it's cuuuute! You've such good taste.

I'm always getting things in to my head that don't seem to exist anywhere. If only I'd get off me arse and make them.

Oh to be able to make things. It's a shame those skills weren't drilled into us in school, I could definitely use dressmaking know-how now, and all I have is patchy maths equations and a limited grasp of German.

I was convinced that I saw you yesterday on Bloomfield avenue in Dublin wearing your lovely tartan dress with a black & white bag. Then someone reminded me that you're in Cork.

Aw! I thought I was getting some good blogger stalking in.

Nope, stalking disappointment. I'll be there Saturday though, I might even wear the dress!
